Information appeared on the network that by the end of the month Sony will launch an updated web store PlayStation Store… This was reported by the French portal PlaneteVita, in possession of a letter from Sony to partners notifying of upcoming important changes to the PS Store… They will take effect 19th October for the desktop version and 28th October for mobile.
The message notes that after the aforementioned dates, users will no longer be able to purchase games and add-ons for Playstation 3 and PS Vita (including PSP) via desktop and mobile versions of the web store… PS4 apps, themes and avatars will also no longer be available for purchase from the PS Store via a browser.
At the same time, all of the above content can still be bought directly through the built-in store on the PS4, PS3 and PS Vita themselves, and previously purchased content can be used as before without restrictions – it will always be displayed in the download list of the PSN account.
In addition, it follows from the leak that Sony is also going to abandon the “Wishlist”, in this connection, everything that is in it will be deleted after the end of support for the function.
The upcoming changes to the PlayStation Store web version seem to be directly related to the upcoming launch Playstation 5… The new console launches on November 19th.
