How the hunters of Frosty Space have fun in their free time
Fishing and catching monsters (not to be confused with hunting!)
Fishing is easy. You need to settle in a safe place on the lake, decide on the bait and throw a fishing rod. In the process, it’s important to combine the lures to catch gold fish. It can be sold very profitably and save some money, for example, on new armor. And it will not be superfluous to start collaborating with a researcher (look for him in your settlement), who rewards useful items in exchange for a good catch.
IN Iceborne developers have added some new fish. The rarest among them is the Sea Knight, a long fish with reddish-orange fins. Catching this means unlocking an achievement
In turn, for catching monsters, simple luck is not enough, you will need the skill of a ranger. First you need to track down the game, study the behavior and, having seized the right moment, throw the net. Of course, the larger the creature, the harder it is to lasso it. To catch a huge wyvern, you first have to prepare a trap and stock up on tranquilizers. Otherwise, the principle is similar: we track it down, trap it and put it to sleep. A real hunter is not the one who only kills monsters, but the one who also catches them.
Caught small animals can be domesticated and turned into their pets, and large wyverns can be sent to scientists for study. For the work done, the hunter will be awarded rare items.
Addition Iceborne significantly expanded the bestiary. And if catching a macaque or a penguin is not difficult for an experienced hunter, it will be very difficult to find the arrow-headed gecko or the winter moon jellyfish, believe me!
Gathering
Although if a hero stumbles upon a wyvern that knows how to freeze, then none of the above will already help – one hope for nothing! A rare plant, the place of growth of which will have to be literally remembered and from time to time return there to replenish stocks. Therefore, the ideal solution would be the artificial cultivation of empty berries in a greenhouse by the forces of village botanists.
Collaborating with scientists is generally very beneficial. They can also produce honey, which restores the hero’s health well, and you don’t have to spend time looking for wild honey among the snows. Also in greenhouses you can grow mushrooms for special potions – if you manage to debug all sowing processes, life will become noticeably easier.
Finally, in the village of staboutum lay a steam station. It will not only provide all buildings and greenhouses with energy, but will also generate random objects and baits for hunting (often very rare!). The main thing is to refuel the generator set: fuel is produced during the processing of unnecessary things and ore.
Job Announcement
Random NPCs from your community are another source of quests. Sometimes the reward for the performance is such that it makes sense to distract from the storyline and go on an unscheduled hunt. Other quest givers live in the resource center. But the essence is the same – run into the forest and catch a monster for a limited time. Reward – armor upgrades.
You can also look for work on the ads, literally tearing them off a special pillar. Among the puzzles, you can find quests like bring-submit and orders for catching high-level monsters, which can be found only in a certain period of time. The most difficult orders are hunting two monsters of a master rank at once.
Also, be sure to take the time to build friendly relations with Boaboa, helper cats (they were called Paliko in the original Monster Hunter: World). At first, the animals will be wary of the hero, but if they put a huge monster on their eyes, cats will replace anger with mercy. The hero will be called up for negotiations and given a non-trivial quest. After that, you can summon fluffy helpers in difficult times: they will help to defeat the dragon, and they will pour healing potions.
You can also devote yourself to research the bizarre fauna of frozen lands. Other experienced hunters and scientists encountered during the wanderings will tell a bunch of useful things about the monsters inhabiting the continent and their vulnerabilities. As a result, tracking down monsters in the wake will be much easier – they will be displayed on the minimap.
Crossovers with famous universes
Capcom not going to stop at Iceborne and will continue to develop the universe of the game. During the year, new territories will appear – the volcanic region and the Tundra in the Guiding Lands are promised – and monsters.
