Popular Korean streamer Jinnytty reported that she received a two-week ban on Twitch after she made a negative comment about one of the heroines of a dark action adventure The Last of Us: Part II from the studio Naughty dog.
This, as you might guess, is about Abby, who has a muscular body and is the second playable character in a recent exclusive project for Playstation 4. In the vastness of the network, you can often find insults against Abby. Commentators dissatisfied with her appearance compare the heroine with a man. The most radical and do send threats to the actress who played the girl, which causes bewilderment.
Korean streamer says her channel was blocked following the next comment spoken during the streaming:
“I want to see Ellie and Joel, seriously. Please. I don’t want to look at this transgender person anymore.”
The statement caused a scandal in the chat. Fans of The Last of Us: Part II responded by calling the streamer herself a transgender, to which she resented.
After the ban, Jinnytty apologized to anyone who might be offended by her statement and explained it:
“I was not interested in Abby’s story, at all. It seemed boring and boring to me. And I wanted to explain that I was tired of looking at her. I picked the wrong words. Out of context, they sound terrible. I was not 100% sure she is transgender. or not, but I saw that people call her that. Without thinking, I decided that it was okay to call her that. I have nothing against transgender people and did not want my words to be perceived as a manifestation of hatred. I apologize to everyone I hurt. From now on I will be more careful. “
Against this background, the Twitch administration decided to remove the ban from the girl. After 8 hours, the account was unblocked.
