Not all such kits consist of the classic set “steelbook, artbook and world map” – sometimes they are much more interesting. It is about such publications that we will discuss in this material.

Assassin’s Creed Origins Dawn of the Creed Legendary Edition – € 800

The € 800 collector’s edition of the Assassin’s Creed Origins Egyptian collection includes a Bayek protagonist with a signature bow and eagle. The height of the figurine is 73 centimeters; it was released in a limited edition of 999 copies.

The box also contains the amulet of the protagonist, which can be put on the arm. Well, they didn’t forget to attach things classic for collector’s publications like an artbook, soundtrack and world map.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Dark Edition – € 500

Bravo Six, we’re going dark! – The cult phrase of Captain Price from the opening trailer of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare formed the basis for the collector’s edition of the game. The “star” of the kit was night vision goggles – not just a simple plastic toy, but a real functioning device.

The device can be worn during the day, like ordinary glasses, and with a deterioration in visibility, switch to night vision mode at close range. Using a special button, the glasses can be turned on at maximum power – in this case, the radius of visibility will increase to 20 meters even in complete darkness.

Resident Evil 6 Premium Edition – ~ $ 1.3 thousand

The premium edition of Resident Evil 6, worth $ 1.3 thousand, includes four special covers for the smartphone, as well as Leon’s signature leather jacket. In the same main character survived all the adventures in the main plot. The jacket is zipped and made of leather. It also has several pockets for various accessories.

Dying Light My Apocalypse Edition – 250 thousand pounds

The creators of Dying Light went even further and showed a collector’s edition worth 250,000 pounds. Of course, it was sold in a single copy, because not every gamer could afford such a purchase. What could a rich fan get for this money?

First of all – a real home! In it, the developers arranged several rooms, put furniture and household appliances. Probably, it also left a place for a huge zombie statue that came in the kit. According to the developers, the house is designed in such a way that it could survive a real invasion of zombies. And to survive for sure, the owner of the publication will have the opportunity to train parkour skills with a team of Ampisound runners – they are known for dynamic YouTube videos.

The buyer of My Apocalypse Edition also received an invitation to the head office of the developers in the city of Wroclaw, where his face was digitized and “presented” to one of the characters of Dying Light.

From the “little things”: night vision goggles, a set of diapers for adults (with a note: “For those who decide to play at night”), two pairs of Razer Tiamat headphones and four copies of Dying Light in stylebooks and autographed by developers.

Saints Row IV The Super Dangerous Wad Wad Edition – million dollars

Many have heard about the special edition of Saints Row IV, but we could not get around it. What is included in the set for a million dollars? In short – the opportunity to feel like a billionaire!

The Super Dangerous Wad Wad Edition includes two cars (Lamborghini Gallardo and Toyota Prius with annual insurance), an annual membership in the club of owners of supercars, plastic surgery (at the choice of the owner), shopping with a personal assistant, the opportunity to relax for a week at the Jefferson Hotel in Washington and Burj al-Arab in Dubai, as well as espionage training and participation in hostage rescue operations.

Well, for dessert: a space flight organized by Virgin Galactic. Its owner is the famous businessman Richard Branson, whose fortune totals about $ 5 billion.

Should I mention that the set has a full version of the action and a replica of the dubstep gun? But it is unlikely that the owner of this publication thought about such trifles when buying.

Dying Light Spotlight Edition – $ 10 million

If the publication of My Apocalypse worth 250 thousand pounds was not enough for you, then a year later Treyarch announced even more expensive – The Spotlight Edition. For ten (yes, ten) million dollars, its owner got the opportunity to star in the movie on Dying Light as a supporting character, a series of acting training with Roger Craig Smith (voiced a huge number of characters in video games), traditional parkour lessons and a chance to turn into a zombie using a professional make-up artist. And in addition – a personal trailer with round-the-clock service during the shooting.

By the time the film was released, the owner of the publication would receive a tour with a VIP pass to all festivals where shows of the tape, an original copy of the script and a personal jeep for off-road driving would be held. Between locations, the lucky one would travel exclusively on a first-class airplane and live in luxurious (according to the authors) hotels.

It is not known whether anyone bought such an edition (like My Apocalypse Edition), but obviously something went wrong with the film. In May 2019, the authors gave an interview in which they stated that the film was not in production. Perhaps there was no buyer for the collector’s edition.
