Nioh
Life is misery.
Better Loot Will Not Help
Clumsy hands.
Nioh is the true embodiment of duality. The game in an incredible way interweaves, it would seem, completely opposite things. Its plot is devoted to feudal Japan, but the Irishman is the main character. It is based on real events, among its characters you can find many historical figures – but at the same time it is purebred fantasy. Even the foundation of the plot here consists of two parts at once: the script of the Japanese director Akira Kurosawa and the book of the American writer James Clavell.
The game tells the story of William, an Irish sailor who went to Japan to regain his guardian spirit. In a foreign country, he learned samurai art, encountered numerous demons from local folklore, and also participated in the formation of the Tokugawa shogunate.
From the gameplay point of view, Nioh is a classic souls-like action – timely dodges and counterattacks are the cornerstone of the battle, and after death the hero loses all unspent experience. A characteristic feature of the game was the stance, affecting the strength of the blows and their speed, as well as an extensive Diablo-like loot system that allows you to slightly level the complexity of the battles with the help of new equipment elements. In addition to samurai techniques, users can learn ninjutsu and ommedo magic.
