Dota 2 world teams

Dota 2 world teams

At the end of the year, it is customary to take stock of the past 12 months – in e-sports we also adhere to this tradition. The benefit of the nominations can come up with a whole mass: the most amusing moments, the scandals of the year, the best games … With all the variety of events taking place in this industry, you can accidentally forget directly about sports results. To prevent this, Cybersport.ru made up the traditional national teams of the best players of the year in Dota 2. Do you agree with our top?

In 2019, we decided to separate players from the CIS and representatives of other regions. Thus, we got two rosters: our national team and the world team. At the same time, it is important to consider that Dota 2 is a team discipline and the success of any player in it largely depends on what conditions teammates create for it. Nevertheless, we tried to single out ten cybersportsmen, who, in our opinion, have shown themselves brighter than others over the past 12 months.

World team

Nisha’s transition Team secret perhaps became the main sensation of the transfer period after The International 2018. About who will become the new Kerry team Clement Puppey Ivanov, there were many rumors – even candidates were called Danila Dendi Ishutina, – but in the end, the first position in one of the strongest roasters on the planet was taken by an unknown Nisha.

At that time, the player was under 18 years old, and his best achievement was participation in the semifinals The summit 8 in the composition Team kinguin. At first, Secret fans naturally lost heart, but it turned out to be in vain: at the first tournament, Nisha brought the team a trophy, and then made it to the final of the major on the move.

In 2019, the Pole increased his achievements: in January he became the champion The chongqing majorthen won ESL One Katowice 2019, brought roster to the first line of the DPC rating by winning at MDL Disneyland® Paris Major and secured success with another trophy on ESL One Birmingham 2019. All these are really the fruits of the work of Nisha, which during the season repeatedly showed awesome highlights. Let the path be repeated Saeed Samael SumaiL Hassan and the player did not manage to win at The International in the debut season, he can still be satisfied with the result.

Players Og for the second year already, the making of symbolic teams is a very complex process. On the one hand, the team did not show anything during the whole season, but on the other, it won the main tournament of the year and became the richest organization in the history of e-sports. We got out of the situation and included in the team one representative of the club – Topson, who became perhaps the most prominent player in The International 2019 and allowed OG to surpass all rivals.

Looking at the Finn game in Shanghai, it was hard to believe that a year earlier this esportsman was often lost on the map, made stupid mistakes, and sometimes openly fed opponents along the central corridor. Then all the work lay on my shoulders Anatana ana fam – his game on Phantom Lancer and Specter kept OG afloat even in those games where everything went according to plan. But on TI9, Taavitsainen fully returned the team owe – from the early minutes he was scampering all over the map, breaking all the opponent’s plans for the game.

Johan n0tail Sundstein likes to repeat that even the craziest ideas can work in DotA. Topson’s TI9 performance was the perfect illustration of the phrase. In the final, the Finn showed Monkey King with Radiance, then destroyed Team Liquid with an unusual build on Pugna, and on the last map he collected the Diffusal Blade on the Gyrocopter – this item and brought the team victory.

Offleiners are a scarce product on the Dota 2 player market. So much so that Evil geniuses had to seek help from Roman RAMZEs Kushnaryovto fill the vacant slot after leaving Gustav s4 Magnusson. The more Kuro KuroKy Salehi Tahasomi should appreciate the fact that back in 2015 he found MinD_ContRoL – a player who has been steadily among the top best hardliners in the world for several years and does not seem to be going to leave his old friend for adventures with other teams.

In 2019, MinD_ContRoL and Team Liquid participated in three finals in a row: at Disneyland Major, EPICENTER Major and The International 2019. Even earlier, in the fall of 2018, MinD_ContRoL played a stand as Ninjas in Pajamas. Quickly accustomed, he helped the roster enter the top 4 at The Kuala Lumpur Major. After his departure, NiP never rose so high until the end of the year – such is the effect of the Bulgarian. For this stability, MC has earned a place in our team.

“Four”Pan Fade Yu

After TI8, it seemed that the protagonist of the 2018/2019 season in China would be PSG.LGD. No other team came close to it in terms of game level, but in reality everything turned out differently. Collective decline Xu fy linsen coincided with the rapid progress of the new Vici Gaming roster, which appeared in September 2018. For the first six months, the roster did not make itself felt, but then abruptly began to gain momentum.

First, the team won the Major StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 1, and then won the Major DreamLeague Season 11, defeating Virtus.pro in a long series. EPICENTER Major also obeyed Vici Gaming, and on TI9 she entered the top 6. N0tail called this team a “crazier version” of PSG.LGD, and this compliment refers primarily to Fade – it was he who led the roster this season and, according to many, deserved the MVP title in the Moscow major.

After the completion of TI9, a scandal erupted, and Fade temporarily suspended his career. There were a lot of rumors around this decision – among other things, they said that support had been caught in contractual matches, but in September he returned to the professional stage and joined Team Aster.

“Five”Clement Puppey Ivanov

Puppey is not only the charismatic leader of Team Secret, but also perhaps the most successful scout of the professional scene. In 2014, for the first time, he assembled his own team and since then has never lost his position in the top – despite the huge number of reshuffles, his roster has always shown decent results.

Puppey’s latest find is Nisha, which Ivanov signed from Team Kinguin. The 17-year-old Pole became a key link in the new Secret roster and helped the team take the first place in the DPC ranking for the previous season. Then he joined the roster and Ludwig zai Wahlberg – Puppey relieved him of support duties, and soon the Swede shone in the role of an offline player.

Ivanov himself has still not sank on an individual skill, although he has been performing on the professional stage longer than almost all of its representatives. In June, Captain Secret won a prize for the most valuable ESL One Birmingham player 2019 and earned a check for the purchase of Mercedes-Benz.

CIS team

KerryRoman RAMZEs Kushnaryov

RAMZEs is the most talked-about player of the year 2019 in the CIS: he was praised, scolded and even called an apostle. In September, he moved to Evil Geniuses, refuting all the speculation that he would not be able to play in the English-speaking team, and a month later he topped the list of the most influential people in Russian e-sports from Forbes. According to Roman Dvoryankin, today RAMZEs is “the face of e-sports around the world.” And that we have not yet reached the player’s sporting achievements!

Kushnaryov started the season 2018/2019 as the captain of Virtus.pro, and under his leadership the team won The Kuala Lumpur Major, and then reached the finals of The Chongqing Major and DreamLeague Season 11. So the roster secured an early exit for The International 2019, but that’s all He didn’t relax anyway and at EPICENTER Major he entered the top three winners.

At the main tournament of the year Virtus.pro failed, taking 9-12th place. After that, the organization released a film in which it showed that the atmosphere in the team was heating up, and as a result, the only way out was rehash. Many blamed Ramses for what happened, but whether this criticism is fair is not very clear. The fact is that after that, the esportsman was warmly received at Evil Geniuses, and, unlike the former teammates, RAMZEs was still able to immediately break through to the first major of the season.

MederVladimir No[o]ne minenko

No[o]ne. Photo: EPICENTER
No[o]ne. Photo: EPICENTER

“Better than No[o]ne, there is no player in the CIS. No matter what role, ”RAMZEs described the mid-level of Virtus.pro. Abroad, the position of analysts is slightly different. For example, Nahaz considers No[o]ne “one of the best liners in professional Dota 2”. In 2019, Minenko showed a stable level of play and, together with Virtus.pro, performed in two major finals.

After the departure of RAMZEs in EG, the leader became the main striking force of VP. While epileptick1d and save- get used to the realities of the professional scene, it is No[o]ne had to take on the responsibilities of both the “tasher” and the playmaker at different stages of the matches. During the qualifiers for the first major of the season, the player had to speak on openly controversial characters focused on early aggression. With the start of qualifying for the second major, the situation changed, and No[o]ne, it seems, remembered how he managed to earn all the compliments from the first paragraph. But no matter how his career turned in the future, the results of the first half of the year gave him a huge head start in our vote.

OfleinerPavel 9pasha Hvastunov

9pasha is one of the most successful and well-known off-lineers of the professional scene. Many young players on a difficult line admitted that they mastered this role, studying the replay of matches of Khvastunov. Like RAMZEs with No[o]ne, he got a place in the symbolic team at the expense of the first months of 2019 – two major finals and getting into the top 4 in the third deprived 9pasha of the competition in the fight for the title of CIS chief offsetor.

In the second half of the year, the player joined NAVI and so far has not managed to show results in the new roster. The team took last place in the qualifiers for the first major of the season, and then disappeared from the information field for two months. At The Leipzig Major, the team passed, and 9pasha played a significant role in this – perhaps the situation is getting better.

“Four”Bakyt Zayac Emilzhanov

Zayac. Photo: Sputnik

Zayac joined NAVI in April 2019 and radically changed the team’s game, although at first it was not so noticeable. Really revealed a new support in the summer – during the qualifiers for TI9. There, Zayac played a key role in defeating all rivals and helped the team return to the International series tournament for the first time since 2016.

Zayac himself very modestly accepted the love of fans that fell upon him. At TI9, he said: “It seemed to me that this was some kind of over-wipe. They just caught the moment when I played well. ” However, it was he who remained in the team and received the captain’s slot when disagreements arose in NAVI. Under his leadership, the roster went to the second major of the season and showed a confident, albeit sometimes monotonous game with a bias in the late at the qualifying stage.

“Five”Artem Fng Barshak

Fng. Photo: StarLadder

In 2016, Fng left Virtus.pro and began searching for the perfect team – this process continues to this day. During this time, Barshak managed to play in three different organizations and collect many different compositions, none of which, apparently, completely satisfied the captain. Nevertheless, in 2019, Fng came closest to achieving this goal while playing for Gambit.

In the 2018/2019 season, all the fans until the last believed in the revival of NAVI – it seemed that this team was gradually getting better and was about to take at least a confident second place among the representatives of the CIS. But while SoNNeikO was building his team, Barshak managed to arrange a kind of “speedran” of this process.

Joining Gambit, he immediately led the roster to victories on WePlay! Dota 2 Winter Madness and Dota 2 Valentine Madness and the finals of The Bucharest Minor, ESL One Katowice 2019 and StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 1. Before the start of EPICENTER Major, it was Gambit that became the second CIS team to receive an invite to TI9.

The tale did not happen, the roster lost to Alliance on a major, stopping a step away from an invite, and then fell apart with a scandal. Did it affect Fng? Not at all. He put together a new roster, with which he immediately went to the MDL Chengdu Major. Although these results do not allow its teams to claim the title of Tier-1, they certainly delight fans from the CIS who have already missed serious competition in the region.
