How to get red stone in Minecraft

Redstone is one of the most useful materials in Minecraft. There is an almost endless list of things you can create with it, from vending machines to a farm. Here players are limited only by their imagination. Fortunately, it is not that difficult to find and obtain during excavations.

Where to find the red stone in Minecraft

The most common form of redstone is an ore block. It is difficult to confuse it with any other. It has a characteristic appearance with bright red patches. When struck, the stone glows and emits a red particle effect.

Redstone ore can only be found underground, as it is not among the resource blocks that can spawn in mineral veins above the ground. Its natural “spawn” is at any height from 0 to 15, which is also the upper limit for the appearance of diamonds. In the PC version of the game, the height can be checked by pressing the “F3” key and noticing the Y value.

To increase your chances of finding redstone ore, you need to explore caves that contain lava or lapis lazuli blocks. Redstone is generated in veins ranging in size from 1 to 8 blocks. If the player does not have the necessary tools to mine the stone, it can be found in the form of Redstone Dust inside the pyramids in the jungle.

How to get red stone in Minecraft

Redstone can be mined just like any other block, but it can only be mined with an iron or better quality pickaxe. If the block is knocked out with another tool, it does not generate redstone dust. It is worth remembering that 4-5 red dust drops from each ore block. Therefore, at least 13 blocks will need to be split to provide a full stack of 64.

There are also various enchantments that increase production and therefore increase the amount of red dust. For example, a Fortune enchantment on a pickaxe will increase the amount of ore it drops, with the blocks generating an average of 10 red dust. And the Silk Touch enchantment will allow you to get the red stone intact. It can then be smelted in a furnace to produce one redstone dust.
