The idea is quite simple: combine the products manufactured by the company into a single ecosystem, in which 8 main categories of devices for the Internet will be united around the smartphone as a central element of the ecosystem, and an unlimited number of third-party services and applications will gain access to the software and hardware capabilities of the company’s products. That is the main difference: the central gadget is a smartphone.
5G capabilities also increase the mobility of a person who needs compact devices at affordable prices. Therefore, Honor offers to use a laptop from the series in conjunction with a smartphone Magicbook. For example, a new Honor MagicBook 14.
As the company noted, the advantage of MagicBook 14 is a powerful battery that can provide up to 10 hours of battery life during active use. In conjunction is a charger that connects via a USB Type-C connector and can charge a laptop by 46% in just 30 minutes. To ensure safe charging under any conditions, the quick charge system is equipped with overheat protection, which automatically interrupts the process when the safe temperature is exceeded.
At the same time, the engineers managed to maintain their compactness: MagicBook 14 weighs only 1.38 kg, and the thickness does not exceed 15.9 mm. It boasts a 14-inch display Fullview (resolution 1980 × 1080 pixels), which occupies 84% of the top cover. The latter is mounted on a reliable hinge, which opens almost 180 degrees.
Certified by company TÜV Rheinland the vision protection mode filters the blue component of the backlight spectrum, providing comfort during long reading and working with documents.
In terms of performance, the new Honor laptop is based on a processor AMD Ryzen 5 3500U and video card Radeon Vega 8. The device is equipped with 8 GB of RAM and fast SSDdrive.
The device does not overheat due to the use of fans with S-shaped blades, which efficiently and quietly dissipate heat. Engineers have not forgotten about design: the case Honor MagicBook 14 made of aluminum, and customers are available in two colors: “space gray” and “mystical silver.”
The company also takes security seriously. Therefore, by default, the webcam is hidden in the case. It extends at the touch of a button. An additional level of protection is the power button, equipped with a fingerprint scanner.
The cornerstone of Honor strategy implementation 1 + 8 + N is a function Magic link. With it, you can easily transfer data between a laptop and a smartphone. In addition, the image from the screen of the smartphone can be displayed on the monitor and start editing documents using the keyboard and mouse / touchpad. Such multitasking will greatly facilitate everyday work tasks.
