According to the developer, a separate sound chip will provide the creators of sound and sound effects with all the power they need, and they will not have to fight for memory and processor resources with programmers and artists.
“We will have at our disposal a dedicated chip for working with sound, which means that we, finally, do not have to fight for memory and processor resources with programmers and artists.”
“We take it for granted that we use our own video card to display the graphics. But in the case of sound, we had nothing of the kind. And now we also have some allocated power.”
These words were the first confirmation of the presence of a dedicated sound chip in the Xbox Series X. For the first time that the next-generation console from Microsoft will receive a dedicated hardware sound accelerator we learned last month.
Daniel Galante praised the Xbox Series X for innovations in the field of sound, as the technical restrictions for developers will be much less.
