In the new report, representatives HBO Max stated that the number of subscribers to the service was 44.2 million people.
In the first quarter, about 2.7 million users signed up for the streaming service – in many respects, this surge of interest was influenced by fresh premieres. In particular – Godzilla vs. Kong and Justice League Zach Snyder. Moreover, the first attracted more viewers than any other film or series on the platform.
At the same time, representatives of HBO Max refused to provide accurate analytics on views and other parameters – repeating the policies of their competitors on streaming. Because of it, approximate calculations have to be carried out by third-party firms – as was recently the case with the same “League”.
Earlier, AT&T conglomerate said it plans to reach 120-150 million subscribers for HBO Max by 2025. Whether they will be able to achieve these indicators is a difficult question.
