This mechanic has long been unchanged in the series. Halo and was a spectacular demonstration of reprisal against the enemy with a covert melee attack from behind. Developers from 343 Industries noted that they love these animations very much, however, many players simply turned them off, since they are inconvenient for them in terms of gameplay.
As a result, the team decided at this stage to take a “step back” and return the animations only when they figure out how to properly modify them.
Halo: Infinite launches towards the end of 2023 on Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, and PC. The shooter will immediately appear in Game Pass.
