Half-Life: Blue Shift will receive a remake based on Black Mesa from Russian developers – screenshots

Group of Russian modders HECU Collective announced the development of a remake Half-Life: Blue Shift… The project is being built on the basis of another fan creation, Black mesa from Crowbar Collective, and will be distributed free of charge.

The developers understand that it is very difficult to wait for the release of such works for years, so they plan to release the mod in part, chapter by chapter.so players can go through them right away and share their feedback.

So far, enthusiasts have shown only a few screenshots showing the graphic improvements of the remake, but a demo is due out soon, which will include a train ride. Please note that the project is at an early stage, so the images do not reflect its final quality.

The original Half-Life: Blue Shift was a standalone add-on for the first Half-Life, which was developed for Valve by Gearbox Software… In this story, the players relived the events of the incident in Black Mesa, but this time on behalf of another character – Barney Calhoun – one of the guards of the research center.
