Recently hacker Mr. White Hat committed the largest cryptocurrency theft by attacking Poly network and having received more than $ 610 million. At the same time, the burglar, after the appeal of the company, began to return the stolen money.
Subsequently, Poly Network even offered Mr. White Hat work in his security department (unsuccessfully) and $ 500,000 for exploit information. Then he had not yet given all the stolen funds – but now, a couple of days ago, it became known that the entire amount had been returned. And now assets are gradually coming under the control of users.
At the same time, Poly Network thanked Mr. White Hat for keeping this promise, and the community, its partners, and security agencies for their help and support.
Initially, the hacker stated that he went on the crime solely for fun and benefit, and now he even apologized for his rather strange actions, designed, as he himself says, to improve the security of the Poly Network. Anyway, as Mr. White Hat, in the end everything worked out.
