Guerrilla Games Doesn’t Ditch PC Gamers: New Horizon: Zero Dawn Patch Released To Improve Performance

Studio Guerrilla Games released another patch for the PC version of the action adventure Horizon: Zero Dawn

In the latest update under the number 1.07 the team rewrote the way the engine works with shaders, as a result of which the process of optimizing them at the first launch of the game became unnecessary

After installing the update, shader optimization will occur every time in the main menu, but this process can also be skipped, allowing the game to carry out all necessary operations in the background during gameplay. At the same time, the developers note that completing the shader optimization phase before starting the game will reduce load times.

Along with this, Guerrilla also fixed the anisotropic filtering option, which now functions as expected.
