Some time ago, Rockstar Studios completely removed Grand Theft Auto 4 from Steam. According to Gamebomb.ru, some players after that suggested that the developers removed the game from this store in order to distribute it exclusively through their Rockstar Launcher service. However, Rockstar Games unexpectedly announced that Grand theft auto iv will be released on Steam again as Grand Theft Auto 4: Complete Edition. It is worth noting that this version will completely replace the Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City editions. Moreover, all players who own them will be able to upgrade to the updated version for free.
It is also worth noting that the Grand Theft Auto 4: Complete Edition will not include some features, such as support for Games for Windows Live. Multiplayer mode, as well as the leaderboard will also be absent. In addition, there will not be some radio stations in Grand Theft Auto 4: Complete Edition, such as RamJam FM, Self-Actualization FM and Vice City FM.
According to Gamebomb.ru, the game Grand Theft Auto 4: Complete Edition will be available on Steam and Rockstar Launcher on March 19. As already mentioned, it will be free for all owners of Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto: Episodes From Liberty City. Players who purchased the physical version of the game will also be able to get an updated version for Steam by entering the key indicated on the package.
