Have products Apple there is a great feature Airdrop, which allows you to exchange data between devices without connecting to a network. And so Google started testing on Android the Nearby Sharing system, which performs the same task.
This feature is used to send links, tweets, photos, videos, APKs, documents, and so on between devices. When you select it, a list of nearby smartphones or tablets with this function is displayed.
When you first start the system you need to configure. In particular, you can specify whether the device will be visible to everyone, only to your favorites or to no one. You must also agree to receive data. In addition, you can limit the amount of transfer, and configure the device name.
The feature is currently available in beta on Google Play services. It is important to note that the company itself includes a function on its servers, therefore it will not work forcibly to launch it or to accelerate the appearance on its device. As expected, the system will be supported on Android 6.0 and newer versions.
