Spring presentation Google I / O 2023 canceled due to coronavirus. The company plans to conduct a series of online broadcasts and events, but there will be no “physical” conference.
As part of Google I / O, they planned to show Android 11, and the event itself was supposed to be held on March 12-14 at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View. A letter from Google says the company follows the recommendations of the CDC, WHO and other health organizations
Refunds for tickets are promised until March 13. Instead, users will be able to buy a ticket for I / O 2023 without having to go through the screening. Online broadcasts will take place on YouTube. This is not the first such decision by companies. Earlier due to coronavirus canceled MWC, Gdc, and many companies could not come to PAX East 2023.
It is currently unclear whether such changes will affect summer game shows.
