Horror remake Resident evil 3 for Playstation 4 debuted from second place in the Japanese boxed chart with sales of 189,490 copies. This was reported today by the publication. Famitsu.

Original version Resident evil 3 for the first PlayStation is one of the most popular representatives of the series. Its total circulation in Japan exceeds 1.4 million copies. Better in home region Capcom sold only original Resident evil 2 – it was bought 2.4 million times.
The last part of the Resident Evil line with a final sales of 1 million copies in Japan has become Resident evil 5. Released a few years later Resident evil 6 managed to cross over 850 thousand, while Resident Evil 7 and the resident Resident Evil 2 did not even take 400 thousand in retail.
The leader of the weekly charts, meanwhile, continues to remain Animal Crossing: New Horizons for Nintendo switch. As of April 5, the total boxed sales of this game exceeded 3,000,000 copies. Digital is unknown – we will be able to recognize them in May from the Nintendo report.
Based on the current dynamics of sales, experts predict that, as a result, Animal Crossing: New Horizons will take place at the top of the ranking of the most successful games in the history of the Japanese market.
In the near future, however, boxed sales may slow down, as Japan is introducing an emergency mode in connection with the spread of coronavirus.
Nintendo also warned players that there would be no new supply of Switch consoles for free sale this week. At the same time, some outlets will receive new lots to cover pre-orders issued by users earlier.
