Company Sony and studio Sucker Punch Productions dated the release of a major update for Ghost of tsushima, along with which the project will have a network mode for cooperative passage, updated features and much more. The update will be released 16th October and will be available for free to all current game owners.
The developers also elaborated on what this update will include.:
- Cooperative mode Ghost of Tsushima: Legends – will offer the passage of story missions for two players, survival against the advancing waves of opponents for four players and raids. The latter will appear shortly after the launch of Legends;
- In “Legends” there will be four classes of heroes with their own special advantages: Samurai, Hunter, Ronin and Assassin. At the beginning, players will have to go through a small training campaign and choose which class to open first, and access to the rest will open as the rank increases;
- Access to the “Legends” lobby can be obtained both through the menu and in the main game by meeting a new character – the storyteller Gyozen. He also acts as a storyteller for story missions.
- Each class starts with one unique skill – the rest are unlocked as the game progresses;
- You can cooperate with friends regardless of the class: it can be either the same for everyone or different for each player. At the same time, to access network capabilities, you need PS Plus;
- In “Legends”, as in the single player, there will be a full-fledged photo mode, with which players can show off new masks, armor and emotions. All things are opened only by gameplay without micropayments;
- In co-op, game progress largely depends on equipment and available techniques. Completing more difficult tests will unlock rare equipment that will give advantages on the battlefield, and with an increase in experience, access to new class techniques will open;
- Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will have several new trophies. They will be displayed in a separate list and will not count towards platinum in the original game;
In addition to Legends, the update will also include improvements to the Ghost of Tsushima single player campaign related to the new mode New Game +:
- Replaying the game starts after the first clash between Jin and Han. The player will immediately have access to the entire open world, all techniques, equipment and cosmetic items obtained for the first time, and the difficulty will automatically be set to increased (can be reduced through the menu);
- In New Game +, players will be able to get new powerful amulets, a horse, additional equipment upgrades and get a new ghostly type of flowers that can be exchanged for new paint for armor and other items;
- Completing the New Game + will unlock a new special trophy. It will be displayed in a separate section of the list of prizes and will not be taken into account when receiving a platinum trophy;
Ghost of Tsushima is available exclusively on Playstation 4…
