Sony announced that sales Ghost of tsushima in the first 72 hours were 2.4 million copies – this is a record for the new intellectual property of the corporation.
The previous record holder was Horizon zero dawn, however, the publisher did not publish the exact sales for the same period. In the first two weeks, 2.6 million copies of the action role-playing game Guerrilla were sold.
If we take the larger Sony PS4 games, then the sales for the first three days are as follows:
- The Last of Us: Part II – 4 million copies
- Final fantasy vii (2020) – 3.5 million copies
- “Spiderman“- 3.3 million copies
- God of war (2018) – 3.1 million copies
- Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End – 2.7 million copies
- Ghost of tsushima – 2.4 million copies.
Sony can only be congratulated: during the pandemic, the publisher released two big-budget hits that set sales records.
Recall that the “Ghost of Tsushima” was bombed in Japan, showing the best start for Sony games and instantly causing a shortage in retail.
