According to The hollywood reporter, a prequel theatrical production has been launched “Game of Thrones”…
He works on it himself George Martinand also the author of the plays Duncan Macmillan (1984). The plot is set 16 years before the start of the main saga, and the story tells about the tournament at Harrenhall Castle.
The plot is expected to involve some of the familiar characters from the “Game”, including Ned Stark, Robert Baratheon, Jaime Lannister and so on. The outcome of the tournament, when Prince Rhaegar Targaryen confessed his love to Lyanna Stark, was one of the reasons for Robert’s further rebellion.
The authors expect to launch the project on theaters in New York, London and Australia – the premiere is scheduled for 2023.
In addition, earlier it became known that Martin signed a major deal with HBO for five years, in which he will oversee various projects of the service, including several prequels to “Thrones”.
