Gematsu confirms development of Resident Evil 4 remake, Resident Evil 8 will receive support for PlayStation VR

Last night it became known that Capcom is developing remake Resident evil 4. According to the publication Vgc, the studio is responsible for it M-tworecently opened in Osaka by former president PlatinumGames Tatsuya Minami. It is assumed that the release will be released in 2023.

Information confirms the site Gematsu, who also heard from a source familiar with Capcom’s current work on the remake of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 8.

The eighth of the series is scheduled for release in 2023. The game is developed for consoles of the current and next generations and, like Resident Evil 7, will receive a first-person view. In Resident Evil 8, Ethan Winters will again be the main character, and many interesting narrative decisions will be woven into the mechanics, for example, fragments from hallucinations and madness, as well as enemies created on the basis of mythical creatures – werewolves and witches.

In addition to the above, a source from Gematsu confirmed that Resident Evil 8 will have PlayStation VR support, just like its predecessor. If Sony does not have time to release a new helmet for the release of the game, the owners of the PlayStation 5 will have to be content with the original model, the support of which will be fully implemented on the new system.
