Multiplayer design director The coalition Ryan Cleven reportedthat leaves the studio after six years of work due to personal problems. Kleven participated in the development Gears of war 4 and Gears 5, but said he would not return to work on the franchise after the break.
Kleven’s decision to leave The Coalition was influenced by the departure of the head of the studio, Rod Ferguson, who in March of this year joined Blizzardwhere is responsible for the franchise Diablo.
The past six years have been amazing. Gears 4 and 5 were the culmination of my development career, but these six years have made themselves felt.
Due to personal problems, I can’t continue to work as before. I need time for myself.
With the departure of my mentor Rod Ferguson, I had the opportunity to review my priorities. And although I will always miss Gears, it’s time to pass the baton.

The last work of Kleven in The Coalition was the multiplayer mode Gridiron, which is already available to all owners of Gears 5. Two teams of five people must bring a neutral flag to the side of the enemy. In each round, players have only one life, and the team that gets 13 points first wins.
