Studio Gearbox entertainment joined forces with a screenwriter Scott Rosenbaum (“Queen of the South”, “Visitors”, “Criminal Connections”) to create a series on Brothers in arms.
Rosenbaum will act as the showrunner of the upcoming teleadaptation, and will also become an executive producer along with the co-founder and CEO of Gearbox Randy Pitchford.
The first season of Brothers in Arms, like the source, will be inspired by the events of World War II. The opening episodes will focus on a once-confidential operation called Exercise Tiger (Exercise or Operation Tiger), a “rehearsal” before D-Day, with disastrous consequences.
A series of shooters Brothers in Arms debuted in 2005 with the release of the Road to Hill 30 project, the plot of which spoke about a group of paratroopers left behind enemy lines on Day D. The original game was released on the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC.
Production of the series is still at an early stage. Companies are “actively seeking directors” and want to enlist the support of an “ambitious” broadcast partner.
