Chapter Gearbox Randy Pitchford announcedthat the developers have finished work on the update for Borderlands 3, with which a full crossplay will be added to the shooter. However, there is some bad news.
For unknown reasons, the publisher 2K Games asked to disable the option on PlayStation consoles.
Most likely, the company does not want to pay Sony for the ability to enable the function on its consoles, because in the future the manufacturer may “fine” 2K Games, if the share of turnover on the PlayStation decreases – the publisher will have to compensate for it.
It is not yet known whether Gearbox will release an update or wait until the PlayStation situation is resolved.
