Gamescom 2023 changes format – there will be no physical exhibition

Exhibition Gamescom the second consecutive year will be held entirely online. A hybrid show concept with physical and online events was originally planned, but this week the organizers decided to postpone the return to the offline format.

The reason was the organizational difficulties associated with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, although the very idea of ​​a hybrid Gamescom, as noted, was positively received by the exhibition partners. It is possible that this format will be tested in 2023.

According to Oliver Frese, COO of the Koelnmesse Exhibition Center, Gamescom 2023 will offer the gaming community an even more powerful online event than last year.
