In doing so, we realized that in a world where social distance is vital, there is little chance that players and journalists will be able to experience the incredible next-generation features at trade shows, such as the tactile feedback of a DualSense wireless controller or 3D sound.
But starting tonight, players will be able to turn on their brand new PlayStation 5 consoles for the first time and experience these innovative features. This is a very encouraging and momentous moment for all of us at Sony Interactive Entertainment.
The PS5 will be a symbol of generational change, and games coming out in the coming years will change the gaming industry forever. The super-fast SSD alone will revolutionize the development and capabilities of many PS5 games, not to mention improving quality and performance. And of course, you can’t discount the DualSense wireless controller.
Now we are celebrating, and we are grateful to you that you are celebrating with us. Thank you for your trust and patience this year. We’ve built the PS5 for you, as players have always played a central role in our development strategy since Ken Kutaragi began building the very first PlayStation console.
