Last week’s event Sony entitled “The future of games” literally blew up the entire internet. In addition to the long-awaited presentation of the next-generation console design Playstation 5The Japanese company also showed a ton of interesting projects from domestic studios and other publishers.
iPrice Group managed to learn the most popular gaming Internet user requests after the conference. Here is what they managed to find out.
Of the exclusives, the greatest attention of gamers was attracted by adventure action Horizon Forbidden West. According to experts, the new Guerrilla Games accounted for a quarter of all searches in Google in the development category from interior studios. The platform holder fulfilled the audience’s long-standing desire and announced at the event a sequel warmly received by critics and players Horizon Zero Dawn.
Next in the list of exclusives is the project Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Given the popularity of the franchise and the fact that the studio is the creator Insomniac gamesknown by Ratchet & Clank and Marvel Spider-Man (2018), interest in the new game is more than justified.
Five closed Demon’s soulsracing simulator Gran turismo 7 and role play Project athia. Great enthusiasm for the remake of the original dark RPG from the studio Fromsoftware gamers from Japan showed where the number of search queries for the game within two days increased as much as 50 times. The vast majority of searches in this segment are related to first-person horror Resident Evil 8: Village. The increased attention is due to the cult status of the series and multi-platform – in addition to the PlayStation 5, the project will also look at PC and Xbox Series X.
Next is the stealth action about the famous bald killer named Forty-Seventh – Hitman 3.
Just behind Capcom’s IO Interaction is another Capcom game – a sci-fi adventure Pragmata.
Behind them trinity indie projects Little Devil Inside, Bugsnax and Solar ash.
Methodology: iPrice examined Google Trends data worldwide on June 12, 2023, using English and Japanese game names as keywords. Projects officially announced long before Sony’s Future of Gaming event (e.g. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Oddworld Soulstorm), or generic name games (e.g. Stray) were not included to ensure objectivity.
