Company Square enix announced a recruitment to work on a new project. It is created with the participation of Ryota Suzuki, who was the senior designer of the gameplay Dragon’s dogmadesigner Devil May Cry 5 and programmer Monster hunter: world and Iceborn.
In 2019, Suzuki left Capcom and will now be responsible for the design of the combat system of the unannounced Square Enix project. And so far, little is known about the future game, except for programmatic statements.
Square Enix, which is best known for its RPGs and team action movies, wants to try its luck on the action field. In the attached interview, Suzuki notes that many consider detachable roles to be obsolete and in the West designate them as jRPG.
Suzuki’s experience will enable Square Enix to create a role-playing game with elements of a world-class action movie of quality, without being bound by the existing RPG games. To do this, the company is looking for specialists with experience in high-budget action movies with real-time battles.
Most likely we will not hear about the new generation project soon.
