In terms of the Steam Deck design philosophy, the Valve chief named two defining benchmarks – the openness of the platform, and the availability and attractiveness of the device for the current hardcore PC audience.
“Fundamental is the excellent performance of your entire Steam library. This is a critical point that needs to be combined with overall openness. It should work out so that as an active PC gamer, I could take this console. [Steam Deck] and immediately understand – it works, and it works quickly, “added Gabe Newell.
Recall that the launch of the Steam Deck in a number of selected countries should take place in December this year.
