Popular Twitch Streamer Invadervie was criticized after she criticized part of the audience for watching her live broadcasts, without issuing a paid subscription to the channel and not supporting it financially.
Like many other streaming platforms, Twitch provides viewers with many ways to support their favorite streamers by directly donating money to them or by making paid subscriptions.
However, not all viewers want or can donate to the streamer, and there can be many reasons for this. Now it’s not at all, because the coronavirus pandemic has hit the economy and income.
The streamer Invadervie inadvertently discussed this topic during the next live broadcast on Twitch, disrespectfully speaking about viewers who watch her broadcasts, but do not donate or subscribe to the channel for money.
“It doesn’t matter how much money you make. I’m not asking you for a lot of financial support. (…) If you have time to watch Twitch, then you should have $ 10. If you don’t have ten dollars, then it means you don’t have time to watch Twitch, because you have to work and try to earn money at that time, and I’m not talking about big money, so talking about the fact that you don’t have it and you can’t afford a subscription will not work So say it: I’m managing my money irresponsibly and I can’t pay for the entertainment, which I enjoy, “says the streamer.
Some viewers explained the streamer that they would support her if it were not for the lack of work due to self-isolation and the need to spend all the money on primary needs. However, the girl remained unconvinced, arguing that each viewer could spend at least $ 5 on a paid subscription.
Another part of the audience also expressed their disagreement with the streamer, explaining that viewers are not required to pay money for watching Twitch, since for some this is just an opportunity to relax after the next working day.
In the end, the girl’s contradictory statements entailed a wave of criticism against her – both from ordinary viewers and from her fans, who are paid subscribers.
