Lance MacDonald, known for insider knowledge and title research FromSoftware, denied the information about the spiritual heir that appeared the other day Bloodborne…
According to an initial rumor on 4chan, FromSoftware began developing a new PlayStation 5 exclusive, codenamed Velvet Veil, in 2018. The source claimed that the project is not a direct sequel to Bloodborne, but is close in spirit and will be presented shortly after the release of Elden Ring, tentatively in the summer of 2023. Initially, the game was supposedly planned to be announced this year, but due to the pandemic, the entire FromSoftware schedule has shifted, so now the Velvet Veil release is planned for February-March 2023.
Screenshots from Reddit five years ago with confirmed leaks were cited as evidence, including with regards to the remaster of Dark Souls, Deracine, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Elden Ring.
It just turned out that the insider who shared information about all these titles a few years ago had nothing to do with the publication about Velvet Veil. At first he himself confirmed this, and then on the fake hearing pointed out Macdonald…
“I have not yet seen anything to confirm this“ rumor. ”Some foreign site claimed that the informer who first spoke about the Great Rune (Elden Ring) leaked Velvet Veil, but after investigation it turned out that this was not at all so. Sounds like a fan fiction. “
“In case you don’t feel like digging into the story, this is sheer fiction. Someone claimed that the guy who first leaked Elden Ring and Sekiro now leaked Velvet Vail, the sequel to Bloodborne. But then when that insider came out and said , it turned out that he did not do that. “
It looks like FromSoftware fans are only waiting for Elden ring… The release of the new role-playing action will take place January 21st next year.
