From the comfort of your couch: World of Tanks developers invite you to an online exhibition of technology

Company Wargaming and the largest in Europe Vadim Zadorozhny Museum of Technology invite everyone to take a virtual tour within the project “Museum 24/7“, which allows everyone online to” walk “through the expositions absolutely free of charge and get acquainted with the iconic types of armored vehicles and artillery that participated in battles on the side of the Red Army and the Wehrmacht, and were also supplied by the allies under Lend-Lease in the USSR.

Development team World of Tanks supported the initiative to create a virtual tour, since players always show great interest in the history of military technology, and actively participated in the process of developing the content and content of the excursion, also providing information support.

“Today, due to the coronavirus, many museums are closed and inaccessible to visitors, but people still strive to learn something new, to get vivid impressions,” says museum director Vadim Zadorozhny. “Thanks to new technologies, we can give them such an opportunity and show in the smallest detail interesting historical exhibits that truly will not leave anyone indifferent. Therefore, we are happy to invite everyone!”

The tour features 126 pieces of equipment, each of which has been handcrafted. In the process of creation, more than 100 GB of photographic materials were captured, and the process itself took several months. As a result, virtual visitors will be able to study in sufficient detail rare types of equipment not only from the outside, but also to learn how the legendary T-34-85 tank, the Soviet anti-tank self-propelled artillery unit SU-100 or the driver’s cabin of the Soviet main-line freight locomotive P32 Pobeda look like from the inside.

Cooperation between World of Tanks and the Vadim Zadorozhny Museum of Technology has been going on for several years. Another interesting project is planned for next year, which will be a pleasant surprise for many.
