Electronic Arts bought a studio Playdemic, which used to create mobile games for Warner Bros. Games.
Transaction amount between EA and AT&T from WarnerMedia amounted to an impressive $ 1.4 billion. Playdemic themselves are primarily known for Golf clash, which is especially popular in the States and the United Kingdom, and the total number of downloads around the world has already exceeded 80 million.
According to a spokesman for Warner Bros. Games, the decision was partly dictated by a new strategy, according to which the studio will be engaged in the creation of projects based on the franchises of Warner Bros. In turn, EA believes that new contributors will help diversify their portfolio.
