The Windows 7 operating system lost support at the beginning of the year. But now the company Microsoft released an update for the “seven”. The latest patch was KB4567409, its main task is to add a new Edge browser based on Chromium to the old OS.
It is important that the web browser is intended for non-commercial users. It will not replace Internet Explorer and will not reassign the default browser.
The most interesting thing is that the update will not be installed automatically. The user himself is free to choose whether to put it or not. In addition to Windows 7 SP1, it is also compatible with Windows 8. Thus, outdated, but still up-to-date operating systems can get a new proprietary browser.
Note that earlier it appeared by default in version 2004.
