After landing in England, players will have two options for conquering the region:
- raiding – in this case, the Viking village will receive additional resources for the arrangement and construction of new buildings
- building alliances – the developers want to convey a sense of vulnerability in a foreign land, but in general, such an approach will simplify the conquest of the country over time.
The developers are doing a lot of work on additional tasks, some of which are created according to the five-act structure of Shakespeare – they will launch a long storyline in several parts that will help the player to better know the world and the characters.
Many heroes whose tasks are completed by the player will be able to join the Viking settlement.

The scriptwriters of Valhalla describe the game’s narrative as “Flower Petals”: a player leaves the village, spends time in the world and returns. Each adventure will become a petal in this “flower of the story.”
By the way, the developers do not call Alfred the Great, the English king from the debut trailer, a villain. He has a personal story in which he sees himself as a “hero.” For the Vikings, he will be an adversary, but not a villain.
The developers implemented mysticism in the game at the level of “Origins”, where the gods existed on the basis of the faith of the characters – do not wait for “obvious mysticism”, as was the case in the Odyssey.
Well, in the end: it seems that Ubisoft will completely abandon the lootboxes – in the “Sources” and “Odyssey” players could buy such chests with random contents, but in “Valhalla” they decided to completely disown it.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla launches PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Stadia and PC at the end of the year.
