Former Microsoft Top Manager Veronica Rogers Appointed Head of Business Operations for PlayStation

Former top manager Dell and Microsoft Veronica Rogers joined Playstation as senior vice president of business operations. Rogers appointment is part of the reorganization Sony Interactive Entertainmentaccording to which the company will turn from the previous regional structure into a “single global system”.

Rogers will determine the market strategy for the PlayStation and directly influence the sales of both physical and digital publications. In addition, Veronica will regulate sales of the increasingly popular subscription services of the company’s gaming division – PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now.

The new executive will report to Jim Ryan, president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment. According to the latter, “Rogers will play a decisive role in expanding the business.”

“The PlayStation brand is one of the most recognizable in the world, and I’m happy to join a company that has such a dedicated community, legendary history and an amazing leadership team,” says Rogers. “My experience working with leading global organizations will help to elevate the PlayStation business and provide the best gaming experience to fans from all over the world.”

Veronica Rogers is called to strengthen the already strong team before the launch of the PlayStation 5, which will be released later this year. Earlier, as part of the reorganization, Hermann Hulst was appointed head of Sony Worldwide Studios, and Shuhei Yoshida took over as head of relations with small independent studios.
