Producer Fatal frame Keiske Kikuchi gave an interview to the publication Nintendo Everything. In it, he discussed the possibility of re-releasing the series games on Nintendo switch.
First of all, Kikuchi explained that even if he wants to release Fatal Frame on the Nintendo Switch, this does not mean that it will be so. Little depends on it, since the series is published by Nintendo. Nevertheless, the producer noted that he knows how much Japanese and Western fans are waiting for a remaster or a new part.
Fatal frame 2 for Wii never came out in North America – the release took place only in Europe and Japan, – and Fatal frame 4 and didn’t leave the home market at all.
“As for Fatal Frame 2 and 4, Nintendo controls the rights to the publication, so we do not have voting rights in this matter. Another factor is that now I basically just follow the Gust brand, and it will be very difficult to ensure production in the short term, but in the long term I have not abandoned the idea. ”
Currently in production is a Hollywood motion picture based on the Fatal Frame.
