TV series star “the walking Dead” Norman Reedus will work with the company AMC Studios the development of a television adaptation of a retro action movie “Faster, kitty! Kill, kill!“, taking over as producer.
According to the publication Deadline, in a modern reinterpretation of a classic film Russ Meyer the authors intend not only to pay tribute to the original 1965 painting, but also to show something more than chases in fast cars and fights with the participation of harsh go-go dancers by presenting the viewer with strong female characters, as well as breaking the templates of cultural norms of those years that lay at the heart of the film.
As Norman Reedus confesses, he watched “Faster, kitty! Kill, kill!” while still a child, attending school wearing a film t-shirt. According to him, he is extremely happy about the opportunity to rethink the history of the classic tape in a modern way.
