Exhumed for PC – review addiction

Developers from Nightdive studios announced PowerSlave: ExhumedFirst person shooter PC port PowerSlavealso known as Exhumed, on the engine KEX

PowerSlave was originally released in 1996 on Sega Saturn and PC (MS-DOS), and in 1997 made it to the original PlayStation. The authors note that the updated version will combine the best elements of the console versions.

The main features of the port:

  • support for widescreen HD monitors;
  • support for controllers;
  • SMAA anti-aliasing;
  • anisotropic texture filtering;
  • achievements;
  • DirectX 11 and Vulkan support;
  • smooth object interpolation for monitors with high refresh rates.

According to the plot, the player in the role of a secret operations specialist will have to go to the ancient Egyptian city of Karnak, which alien forces isolated from all external contacts.

Gamers will have more than 20 levels, a machete at the start and 6 more types of weapons, including hand grenades, a flamethrower, an M-60 machine gun and a magic cobra staff.

PowerSlave: Exhumed will be released this year on PC (Steam, GOG).
