Exclusive Beams: Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition Will Get Ray Traced On PlayStation 5 Before Xbox Series X

Company Capcom presented during yesterday’s presentation of PlayStation 5 a re-release of the action Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition for nextgen platforms. The updated and expanded game will offer an additional playable character – Vergil, a turbo mode with accelerated gameplay, a new Legendary Dark Knight difficulty level and a number of technical improvements, including almost instant downloads, support for 3D sound and tactile features of the DualSense controller, as well as ray tracing and several alternative graphics modes, one of which will allow you to play at 120 frames per second.

An interesting detail emerged after the announcement: it turns out that the claimed ray tracing will be a temporary PlayStation 5 exclusive. Users found information about this on the official website of the game, where it says in small print that “ray tracing capabilities will become available with the release of the PlayStation 5 version and will be added to the Xbox Series X version as a downloadable post-release update.”

What is the reason for this decision, the developers did not explain. The Devil May Cry 5 re-release will be available initially digitally only for $ 40, while current owners of the game on Xbox One, PS4 and PC will be able to get the new content as a paid upgrade for $ 5. The nextgen version of DMC5 will be released simultaneously with the launch Xbox series x and Playstation 5 on sale, that is, on November 10th and 19th, respectively.
