EVE Online sets new Guinness record – Igromania

At the very end of December in EVE Online a large-scale battle took place in the M2-XFE sector. As it turned out, it became the most expensive in history and entered the Guinness Book of Records. In its course, 3404 ships were destroyed with a total value of almost 380 thousand dollars.

The battle, dubbed “The Massacre in M2-XFE”, fought the largest coalitions Imperium and PAPI… The battle lasted 14 hours, and the sides threw more than a thousand of the largest ships, “titans” into the battle. Of these, 257 were destroyed, and this is also a new record.

The battle broke the previous record set in EVE Online in 2014. Then, during the “Bloodbath in B-R5RB” the parties lost ships worth more than 302 thousand dollars.

A record-breaking battle took place during the second “War of the Bees”. It was attended by about five thousand players. And the parties for a very long time, for several years, saved up strength for her: PAPI tried to recapture a powerful star fortress from Imperium.

The attempt was unsuccessful, and in no small measure due to a server restart. “Empire” managed to restore the defense of the fortress, and PAPI had to subsequently rescue their pilots, who got into the “cauldron”. The war continues, and at the site of a record battle SSR will erect a monument with the names of all its participants.
