January 29th Microsoft has submitted a request to the European Commission to approve the acquisition ZeniMax Media, reports Reuters.
By March 5th, EU antitrust authorities must decide whether Microsoft should allow the purchase of ZeniMax… If at the stage of preliminary consideration the commission does not have additional questions about the legality of the transaction, then it will be approved immediately. Otherwise, a full-scale investigation will be launched.
Microsoft’s plans to purchase ZeniMax Media and all of its assets for an amount of $ 7.5 billion was announced in September 2023. The company expects the deal to strengthen its gaming division and become an important part of its promotion Xbox Game Pass…
