The latter is a pixelated indie platformer with metroidvania elements. The story of the game begins with a dark cave, where the main character does not remember how. Having stumbled upon the Mimig village, a race of rabbit-like creatures, he discovers that a formidable shadow of danger hangs over the once carefree creatures in the face of a cruel scientist. From here, the character will have to go to explore the caves and find a way to save the creatures, passing through 15 different levels with about 20 bosses and 10 unique weapons, each of which has its own improvements.
Cave Story + is a re-release of the original Cave Story by Daisuke Amaya. It allows you to choose between the original 320×480 graphics and an updated HD version, and also includes re-recorded music along with the original soundtrack and six new modes.
