Studio developers Creative assembly published the first official gameplay video strategy Total War Saga: Troy – The fourteenth game of the famous series of Total War.
In the video presented, the creators demonstrate the battle between the armies led by Achilles and Hector – two cult heroes depicted in the poem “Iliad” by the authors of the ancient Greek poet Homer.
Besides the duels of the heroes who returned from the last part of the series, Total War: Three Kingdoms, we are shown many new features that make battles between infantry units more dynamic and interesting. This is due to the fact that cavalry was very rare in this time period, and horses were mainly used in chariots. In addition, developers demonstrate new types of landscapes (mud and tall grass), as well as differentiate between heavy, medium and light infantry.
Some units will also have different modes that allow you to switch to defensive or offensive actions.
Creative assembly announced game last September, and some time ago we learnedthat it will be the annual exclusive of the Epic Games Store digital store.
The developers have already warned that the story of the exclusivity of “Troy” is a one-time character and they are not going to adhere to the same initiative in relation to their future games of the Total War series. It is worth noting that the game will launch on August 13, and on the first day after the release, all EGS users can pick it up completely free and forever.
