Most gamers were unsatisfied with the graphics update. Improvements were too weak for a modern game with such a price. In addition, the Warcraft 3: Reforged version shown at the 2018 BlizzCon festival looked much better according to fans. The developers also promised fans a new modern interface, but for some reason they returned the old one. Most of all, the players were waiting for new story inserts with facial animation of characters, detailed production and beautiful camera angles. They were also shown on BlizzCon, but on the day the game was released, the usual screensavers with a top view from the classic version of 2002 remained.
Fans of multiplayer modes were also unhappy with Warcraft III: Reforged, reports Gamebomb.ru. From the new version, automatic tournaments, profiles with statistics, many chat functions, including 3D avatars and slash teams, offline mode, ladder and clans, have disappeared. At the same time, the developers decided not to leave the balance settings from the original Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos game. Instead, all maps use Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne balance.
Most players of Warcraft 3: Reforged agree that in the bulk of the functions and features the game has become worse than the original. Only the graphics have improved, but only slightly.
