“Engaged in fraud”: The famous Brazilian gamer may go to jail for decades

Former eSportswoman CheyenneshAyVictoriawho actively spoke in the discipline Counter-Strike: Global Offensive From 2008 to 2019, she was sentenced to 116 years in prison for participating in a fraudulent scheme that killed more than 100 people, Brazilian media reported.

shAy was a business partner in an online retail store that tricked more than 100 customers between 2013 and 2017. The essence of the fraud was that the customers did not receive the paid goods, and they were refused refunds.

In addition to shAy, her father and ex-husband were engaged in the store. The investigation gained access to the girl’s correspondence and was able to prove that she knew that sometimes the store sold “air” – goods that were never in stock and that no one was going to replenish the assortment.

As part of the trial, 118 people testified and filed a joint lawsuit against shAy. As a result, the court ruled that the girl’s actions last for 116 years of imprisonment, but in prison she can only spend 30 years – this is the maximum allowed by Brazilian law.
