Duke Nukem is now owned by parent company THQ Nordic – the Embracer Group has acquired eight companies

holding Embracer Group, under whose wing THQ Nordic, Deep silver, Saber Interactive, Gearbox, 4A Games and Flying Wild Hog, announced the purchase of eight more companies… After the completion of the transaction, the total number of employees of the conglomerate will exceed 8 thousand people.

Who bought:

  • 3D Realms (creators of Duke Nukem, will work in the Saber Interactive division)
  • Slipgate ironworks (Graven developers, will work with Saber Interactive)
  • Digixart (11-11 Memories Retold contributors, will work with Koch Media)
  • Force field (specializing in VR games, joining the VR division of Koch Media)
  • Easy Trigger (known for working on the game Huntdown, identified at Coffee Stain)
  • Ghost ship games (Deep Rock Galactic developers will work with Coffee Stain)
  • Crazy Labs (Israel-based mobile casual game developer)
  • Grimfrost (this company worked on costumes for “Game of Thrones” and produces merchandise in a Viking setting)

According to Embracer Group’s estimates, by the end of the 2023-2023 fiscal year, new companies will help increase the holding’s revenues and net profit by up to 300 and 55 million euros, respectively.
