Company Disney temporarily stopped the production of some of its projects amid problems associated with the coronavirus pandemic COVID-19. Under the “freeze” were both films, the shooting of which has already begun, and those that were preparing for the start of production. This applies to the following pictures:
- Remake “Little mermaids“- filming was supposed to start nine days later in London;
- Remake “Peter Pan and Wendy“- was in pre-production;
- Sequel-restarting comedy “Honey I have reduced children“called” Shrunk “- was in pre-production;
- Restart “Alone at home“;
- Ridley Scott Historical DramaLast fight“;
- Thriller Guillermo del Toro “Alley of Nightmares“;
- “Shang Chi and the legend of ten rings“- filming has already been stopped due to the decision of director Destin Daniel Kretton to self-isolate before receiving the results of the analysis on COVID-19.
In a published statement, Disney noted that work on all of the above paintings was stopped “for a short time.”. The company will continue to assess the situation and will return to film production as soon as possible. Moreover, according to the reporter Justin Kroll Variety, another large studio Warner bros, does not plan to follow Disney’s decision and close production of his films.
