Studio Disney introduced the new trailer for the movie “Ivan, the one and only“. The premiere of the tape in cinemas was to be held on August 14, 2023, but because of the pandemic, the studio decided to make it an exclusive streaming service Disney +.
The main character was a male gorilla nicknamed Ivan (Sam Rockwell), who lives in a shopping center and participates in circus performances arranged by the owner of the building named Mack (Brian Cranston). Ivan does not remember how he fell into captivity, but everything changes when the little elephant Ruby (Brooklyn Prince) gets into the zoo.
The film was based on the book of the same name for children, for which the writer Katherine Applegate received Newbury medals. She was inspired by the real story of a gorilla nicknamed Ivan, who lived in B&I Shopping Center for 27 years. After that, Ivan was taken under pressure from the public to the Seattle Zoo, and then to the Atlanta Zoo.
